Virtual Private Network (VPN)
It is highly recommended that you connect to Georgia State University's VPN from off-campus before accessing any University IT resource. Make sure Georgia State University's VPN client (Cisco AnyConnect) is working and you can log in successfully. If the Georgia State University VPN client is needed for your personal computers, please follow the download links and instructions via this link: Get VPN
S:, I:, and H: Drives
Connect to the Georgia State University VPN first. The Georgia State-issued (AD-joined) laptops will map those drives automatically. To connect to S:, I: and H: drive from computers manually, click on the link for instructions (Machine without Active Directory). You will be asked to log in using your Georgia State campus ID and password: GSU Tech Services

Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Software
Make sure the software you use frequently on the desktops is also installed on the laptops. Most software license allows user to install on up to two computers as long as you are the primary user of both computers.

Remote Work and Collaborations Tools Overview
This site provides information about using technology resources to collaborate with others across multiple locations and to reach certain campus resources that may be needed for accomplishing work tasks from off-campus:
Network Printers
Networked copiers and printers are located in the copy or work rooms on every floor throughout the school. The copiers also allow scan-to-email, duplex and color printing capabilities. The printer(s) and copier(s) should be installed on your computers based on the where your office is located. They are named as SPH-[Room Number]-[Machine Model].
For example, print SPH-ul402b-irc5250 is a copier located in UL Room 402B and the make/model is Canon ImageRunner 5250.
Poster Printing
Poster printing services are available for School of Public Health faculty, staff and students, only. Students requesting poster printing need prior approval from their faculty or staff advisors.
