Tamera Walls is Grants and Contract Officer III for the School of Public Health’s post awards. She is responsible for the projects once funds are awarded by the sponsors. This includes all financial responsibilities, compliance regulations and award close outs.
Tamera has more than 12 years of accounting experience and was a senior accountant/project manager for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Gulf Cost Libraries Project, which was a $20 million dollar grant to re-establish libraries destroyed or damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Tamera also worked as an auditor to close out the federal government housing grant, NSP2 and approved cash draws up to $1 million daily for property developers.
Tamera has a Bachelor of Science degree from Kennesaw State University in Business Management.
