- Biography
Selena brings over 20 years of Grants Management experience, 12 of those years specifically in Research Administration (RA). She works with faculty, staff, and students on grant proposals. She currently leads and supports a team of three in daily pre-and post-award operations, providing valuable support to GSU’s exceptional faculty.
Before joining the School of Public Health, Selena worked at Emory University in a Research Administration Services unit as a post-award manager leading administrators who serviced the School of Medicine’s Anesthesiology, Brain Health, Orthopaedics and Surgery Departments in post-award financial operations. She has gained experience in pre-and post-award administration throughout her career, which gives her a comprehensive understanding of the sponsored lifecycle. She earned her master’s degree in instructional technology from the College of Education at Georgia Southern University and her bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the School of Engineering at Mercer University.
