- Biography
Kevin Maloney is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the School of Public Health at Georgia State University. His research interests include HIV and STI prevention, infectious disease models, and network science.
Before joining Georgia State, Dr. Maloney completed a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at Emory University. His doctoral research utilized mathematical models of HIV transmission dynamics to estimate the population-level impact of network clustered pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) use among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM). He previously worked at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Fenway Institute in Boston, MA, researching PrEP utilization among MSM, clinical practices for PrEP prescribing in primary care settings, and the epidemiology of bacterial STIs among MSM.
