- Biography
Kendra Cole is the Project Coordinator with Strengthening Families Georgia, an initiative of Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Georgia located at the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health. For nearly 13 years, Kendra has supported families through training, coaching, and advocacy.
Kendra has an extensive background working in the early childcare education industry in Head Start and Pre-K programs in both Georgia and Alabama. She is a passionate advocate for family well-being and education equity. She has years of experience educating families on topics related to child abuse prevention, family engagement, leadership, and parents as advocates. In previous roles, Kendra led teams in providing high-quality services to children and families.
Kendra is a state-certified trainer for Mandated Reporting, a certified Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) home study reporter, and certified in National Family Support Network Standards. Moreover, Kendra currently serves on the Emory THRIVE Lab community action board and is a member of the Georgia Family Support Network. Previously, she participated in policy councils, planning committees, emergency response teams, and quality assurance committees in nonprofit organizations.
Kendra is a mother to two teenage sons. In her spare time, she enjoys creative projects, weekend brunches, and traveling with her family.
