Administrative Specialist, Managerial- Biography
Gerrell W. Johnson is a member of the School of Public Health's Finance & Administration team where he supports the Dean’s Office.
Prior to this role, Gerrell served as the Department Coordinator for Population Health Sciences. This department includes the Biostatistics, Environmental Health, and Epidemiology concentrations. Position responsibilities included developing graduate course scheduling, preparing faculty and student materials, maintaining department databases, and handling business expenses including travel, reimbursements, subcontract awards, contractor, and consultant invoices. Gerrell also served as the primary point-of-contact between the graduate and undergraduate programs, the Office of Academic Assistance and Career Services, the Office of Grants and Contracts, and the Office of the Dean. Prior to this role, Gerrell also served as a Business Manager within the School of Public Health. Within this role, he worked with faculty and staff processing invoices, wire transfers, subcontracts, and Purchase card transactions. Gerrell also assisted in the coordination of the 2016 and 2017 Fulbright Conference hosted by Georgia State University. Within this position, he also managed faculty development accounts and Foundation accounts.
Gerrell graduated from Niagara University earning a Master’s in Business Administration. He has also earned Bachelors in Science from Buffalo State College with a concentration in Communications.
