Charlena Gatlin is the Grants and Contracts Officer for the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD). Gatlin graduated from University of Phoenix in 2008 where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration, her undergraduate studies were earned from Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana majoring in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. Gatlin’s interest include in grant writing, curriculum development, non-profit community programs and technical assistance for children and families. Before joining the CLD in 2011, Gatlin worked at Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, Baton Rouge as a Parent/Child Development Educator and Program Assistant for Family and Human Development. This position enabled her to provide quality knowledge and research based information to low income parents, children, and families.
