Charlena is the Grants and Contracts Officer III for the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD). Ms. Gatlin graduated from University of Phoenix in 2008 where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration, her undergraduate studies were earned from Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana majoring in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. Charlena’s interest include in grant writing , curriculum development, non-profit community programs and technical assistance for children and families. Before joining the CLD family in the Fall of 2011 Charlena worked at Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, Baton Rouge as a Parent/Child Development Educator and Program Assistant for Family and Human Development. This position enabled her to provide quality knowledge and research based information to low income parents, children, and families.
