The Department of Health Policy and Behavioral Sciences is improving health for all through teaching, research and community engagement that focuses on multiple issues that impact health and well-being, such as the design and dissemination of treatments to address pressing health conditions, as well as health care access, quality and affordability.

The mission of the National SafeCare Training and Research Center is to ensure young children have a nurturing, safe and healthy home environment through SafeCare training, implementation support and research.
