Maureen has been a practicing speech-language pathologist since 2000, specializing in pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders. For the past 5 years, she has contributed her technical expertise to developing programs that address the therapeutic needs of children in over 14 countries, through capacity building and the co-development of a feeding app. She has also provided international trainings on feeding infants and children with special needs around the world. Maureen is currently providing speech, language, and feeding therapy services via tele-health and on a consultative basis.
Maureen received her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona and her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University.
Maureen’s primary areas of interest include increasing equitable access to therapeutic services around the globe. She hopes to leverage her DrPH training to engage communities to improve current systems and develop new systems to support individuals with disabilities.
