André is a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the National Botulism and Enteric Toxins Laboratory. In this role, his primary responsibilities are test development and validation and include implementation and oversight of quality management systems and improving international laboratory testing capabilities in developing countries. André holds Master’s degrees from the University of Florida in Forensic Toxicology and Georgia State University in Molecular Genetics.He is passionate about global health and has deployed to West Africa in support of the Ebola response. He also has great interest in understanding the impacts of climate change on public health and our collective future.
