Josephine Mhende (MPH 2016) credits the Georgia State School of Public Health with helping her understand her WHY, which is to support families with their social and emotional wellness so they flourish in all areas of their lives.

DrPH student Nickie Williams-Singleton chose the GSU School of Public Health for its well-rounded core curriculum of technical and non-technical public health courses, as well as its wide selection of elective courses.

Zeshan Chisty, one of 10 doctoral candidates nationwide to be named a 2023-24 APHA Kaiser Permanente Community Health Scholar, enrolled in GSU’s DrPH program to become a more effective public health leader.

DrPH student Sasha Smith, who serves as the Chief Epidemiologist for the Fulton County Board of Health, says the program has honed her leadership skills with a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes practical experiences, ethical considerations and networking.
