Umed Ajani is a part-time instructor at the School of Public Health at Georgia State University. He is also the Associate Director for Science at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Health Informatics and Surveillance.
In addition to his work as an epidemiologist, Ajani has taught at Harvard Medical School and the University of North Texas.
Prior to working in public health, Ajani was a surgeon in Pakistan. He can read, write and speak in three languages: English, Urdu and Gujarati.
