Carrie Whitney, MPH, conducts research and directs projects within the School of Public Health that are related to tobacco control, including the GSU Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science, The Tobacco Atlas, Fifth Edition, and The Tobacco Portal (www.tobaccoportal.org). Carrie has seven years nonprofit development experience and spent time creating and implementing public health programs at a substance abuse facility in North Carolina. Her public health program design and implementation experience is related to tobacco free facilities and diabetes education. Carrie received her MPH from Georgia State University’s Institute of Public Health in 2010 and began working at Georgia State in 2011. As part of her Capstone project at GSU, Carrie created a toolkit to assist mental health facilities in becoming tobacco free.
