The objectives of the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program are to:
The Master of Public Health degree program requires the completion of 42 credit hours, of which 21 credit hours are required core courses, 12 credit hours are specialty track electives, 3 credit hours are for other public health electives, and 3 credit hours are for completion of a required practicum, internship, or field placement. A thesis or capstone (3 credit hours) is also required.

The Master of Public Health degree program consists of both Public Health courses and a complementary selection of courses taught by a wide array of Georgia State University faculty. The program is taught on-site in Georgia State University classrooms where instructors utilize the most current educational technologies as well as use distance learning technologies such as ULearn to complement the in-class experience.
