The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is a 15-credit hour program of study. The content is the same as the core courses taught in the Master of Public Health degree program. All courses have been specially designed and developed for students currently working in public health or in a related field.
The Graduate Certificate in Public Health will offer strong foundations in public health theory, research, and practice, for example:
The Graduate Certificate Program meets approximately one half of the MPH course requirements and indicates an area of concentration. Unlike the MPH degree, it is not intended as an academic degree. The Graduate Certificate Program emphasizes applied public health content, and provides students with the opportunity to immediately apply new knowledge and skills. If, after completing the Graduate Certificate Program, students wish to pursue an MPH degree, they may petition their chosen program to accept the coursework completed during the Certificate Program.
