Yes. The Graduate Certificate Program was designed especially to accommodate full- or part-time work schedules. We recognize that many Georgia State students enrolled in our graduate programs work full-time. Like many of the graduate programs at Georgia State , the Certificate Program courses are offered in the evening to minimize conflicts with work schedules.
Can I exempt any courses?
If you have expertise in a particular area of study and would like to challenge a course requirement, you may substitute a different course upon the advice and consent of program faculty.
Can I take just one or two courses?
Yes. The Graduate Certificate Program in Public Health is an interdisciplinary program that includes courses in a variety of departments throughout the University. In order to complete the Program in one year, students must register for two to three courses each semester. However, students may take program courses whenever they are offered and at their own pace. Individual program schedules can be developed in consultation with a Public Health Institute advisor.
