CEPH Self-Study and Accreditation Update


Institute of Public Health Receives Full Accreditation from CEPH:  The Institute of Public Health has received full five year accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).  The Georgia State University MPH degree program was one of four graduate programs approved by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents in January 2004 and the first to be accredited by CEPH.  More information about the accreditation process can be found here and the GSU Self Study documents are here.

The Institute of Public Health's accreditation site visit took place on January 22-23, 2007.  Reviewers from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) met with university leaders, faculty, students, program graduates and community leaders.  The Board of Advisors provided strong support for the program and the MPH degree.  In the photo (from R to L) are: Dr. Lynn Woodhouse(CEPH reviewer), Dr. Stuart Brown, Dr. Thom Bornemann, Kirk McGee, Esq., Dr. David Williams, Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Kathy Miner, Dr. Clinton Dye, Board Chair Martha Katz, Mollie Mulvanity (CEPH), and Dr. Marilyn Gardner (CEPH reviewer).
